Brian Bennett’s 1978 space disco opus Voyage is the stuff of digger legend, and as such, has been the subject of some pretty bad bootlegs in recent years. Thankfully Australia’s Isle Of Jura label has come to the rescue with a proper and official reissue of this funky gem (complete with lovingly reproduced cover art featuring that bad-ass space ship). Bennett built a name for himself as drummer for the Shadows and was known for his music library work around this time. The stars aligned on Voyage however, as it contains a pontent mix of driving synth disco joints (“Voyage” and “Pendulum Force”) as well as cosmic chillers (“Solstice” and “Ocean Glide”). Solid work through and through.
